Special-Status Plant & Animal Species
Monk &
Associates conducts surveys for many special-status plant and animal species in
California and the Pacific Northwest. We specialize i
n avian, mammalian,
amphibian, and vernal pool invertebrate survey work and hold all necessary
Federal authorizations/ permits/ qualifications to conduct surveys for the
species listed below. M&A also holds all necessary California permits for the
species listed with an *
below. However, in some cases we must
acquire appropriate state permits if we will be required to physically handle
special-status
species outside the state of California.
Typically, we can still conduct surveys for the species listed below without
special state authorizations since most surveys do not require handling
individual specimens. In addition to the species listed below, we can provide
other personnel with the skills and capabilities to conduct surveys for most
special-status animal species recognized by the resource agencies in California
and the Pacific Northwest.
